Phillip, a native of Detroit, along with his wife, Dr. Martina Caldwell of Henry Ford Health, joined the Sherwood Forest community in 2014. They are proud parents of two daughters who keep them on their toes and bring endless joy to their lives. The family loves to travel and spends quality time together playing board and card games. Phillip currently serves in two unique roles: as an Associate Professor of Leadership & Counseling at Eastern Michigan University’s College of Education, where he is dedicated to shaping future leaders, and as the Director of Education and Training at Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation, a Michigan Works Agency, where he focuses on workforce development and community empowerment.
Phillip and Martina are passionate about building connections within the community, supporting local initiatives, and creating lasting memories with their daughters. Whether it’s game night at home or exploring new destinations, they are grateful to call Sherwood Forest home. |

Cliff has lived in Sherwood Forest since 2019. He just joined the board in 2022. He loves spending time with his wife and 2 beautiful kids, riding bikes and walking through the neighborhood. He is a lifelong Detroiter and a product of the area. He is a graduate of both UD Jesuit high school and the University of Detroit Mercy. He is an engineer by discipline with 20+ yrs. of project/ program management and automotive experience. He loves this area and wants to help sustain its beauty while continuing to help make it the best community that it can be. |

I, along with my husband and two young adult children have been a resident of Sherwood Forest since July 2009. Over the past 13 ½ years, I have come to value our neighborhood and the community of people that help it grow. There are two main reasons why I desire to become a member of the Sherwood Forest Board of Directors. The first reason is to become better informed and to work as a team with the current members in helping other neighbors receive information regarding the community in which we live and the surrounding areas. I firmly believe that when people are informed they grow and feel a part of the community. The second reason is simply to serve. Whether it’s walking door to door, making phone calls, sending correspondence, or coordinating events, I am a team player and will do my part to help and support the community. Professionally, I have served as an educator for the past 28 years and I am currently employed as an Early Childhood Consultant with the Wayne County Intermediate School District, Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency (Wayne RESA). |
